Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Establish and maintain an irrigation and drainage environmental protection program
  2. Establish and maintain arrangements to ensure the involvement of all personnel in the environmental program
  3. Establish and maintain risk management procedures to protect the environment from irrigation practices and related activities
  4. Establish and maintain procedures for responding to environmental pollution events

Performance Evidence

The candidate must be assessed on their ability to integrate and apply the performance requirements of this unit in a workplace setting. Performance must be demonstrated consistently over time and in a suitable range of contexts.

The candidate must provide evidence that they can:

apply and comply with environmental requirements

audit data bases

develop and implement relevant work health and safety and environmental procedures

develop policies and procedures

identify adverse environmental impacts of irrigation activities and take appropriate remedial action

use technology to draft documents, develop environmental information and audit data bases
